 filter cartridges have superior flow characteristics with very low pressure drop compared to depth media of similar micron rating. 
Due to large filter area and design, allow the use of a reduced number of cartridges. Your advantage is a smaller filter vessel, 
less footprint and lower capital investments. The pleated cartridges have a very large filtration area and therefore a very high 
dirtholding capacity. Long cartridge lifetime means lower operational condumable costs, Less work changing the cartridges
